It is so simple and splendid for creation of the second day.
Genesis 1:6-8 acknowledged that:
And God said:
"Let there be an expanse between waters to separate water from water."
So God made the expanse and separate the water under the expanse from the water above it.
And it was so.
God called the expanse "sky",
And there was evening,
and there was morning
----the second day.
''The expanse'' means a space of empty.
A space everyone should need .
Light and space are the basic living elements not derivable.
